Studio G3 ARQUITECTURA E INTERIORISMO of Granada has recently designed a private villa in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, on the outskirts of Cadiz, which, thanks to the careful choice of materials and colours reminiscent of the sand and water of the Cadiz coast, blends perfectly with its natural surroundings.
The villa’s outdoor spaces are also enhanced by a highly studied lighting design which, thanks to the collaboration of Performance iN Lighting and Big Architectural Lighting, succeeds in harmonising shapes, colours and volumes through a skilful integration of artificial and natural light, making the home shine in its context.
To achieve maximum integration with the natural landscape, light played a decisive role. During the lighting design phase, BIG Architectural Lighting enlisted the services of Performance iN Lighting to select the most suitable products for the context. The result is a perfect balance between ambience and architecture: two elements in symbiosis through light.
Performance iN Lighting’s great expertise in the design of luminaires specifically conceived to meet all the necessary requirements for application areas such as outdoor and architectural, has made it possible to realise a lighting project capable of combining light and architectural detail in a solution of continuous relationship between outdoor and indoor space. The result is a fluid system designed to take on different functions: during the day, thanks to the large windows, the home is permeated by the homogeneous and diffused effect of natural light, which can be modulated through adjustable slatted blinds; during the night, the same visual effect is reproduced in a pleasant alternation of light and shade. In order to meet the requirements of the living scheme, QUASAR luminaires were chosen in a bi-emission version, which enhance the villa’s minimalist-style architectural volumes through a skilful balance of light, order and space.
Installed along the perimeter walls, the QUASAR 20 and QUASAR 10 projectors modulate the building exteriors and highlight the colours of the surfaces, thanks to the selection of the chromatic tone of the light. The QUASAR series, designed by Roberto Fiorato and Franco Pagliarini, embraces a wide range of luminaires that combine visual comfort with the requirements of the lighting concept. The large outdoor portico, conceived as a fully liveable transitional space, connects the indoor living spaces and the outdoor areas through a customised lighting choice: the lighting not only adapts to the geometries, but enhances their beauty and lights up their colours. At dusk and during the night, the lighting recreates a natural situation, where darkness takes its place alongside an intimate and functional light.
