Architect Francesca Cutini, founder of StudioDodici, renovates a modern and bright flat in the heart of Citylife in Milan. It is a tailor-made project, where design and comfort meet, through the skilful use of fine materials and local Lombard craftsmanship.
A space with attention to every detail, a cosy dwelling where natural light floods the spaces through its large windows.
Studiododici has thus created an oasis of comfort and beauty for a cosmopolitan family.
The staircase, which was already present, retained its classical soul, but was given a more modern and contemporary look, in line with the new style of the flat.
Not only the staircase, but other objects have been recovered: small and large family treasures have found their place in the new environment, designed according to the client’s requirements, such as the large shower with large windows, the tatami bed with backlit LEDs for a room with a minimalist and relaxing feel.
The penthouse’s strong point is the large terrace with a breathtaking view over the rooftops of Milan. A space designed to be lived in many months of the year, with refined details, an equipped kitchen and a convivial table for dinners and open-air evenings.
Contrasts and geometric shapes characterise the style of the penthouse: from the furnishings to the large spiral staircase, with its defined but light lines, and the materials, such as the shower tiles that look like a mosaic of pixels, halfway between antique and modern.
Every room in the house has been furnished with apparently rigorous shapes but with a welcoming spirit; in fact, geometries, when well-studied, enhance the rooms, making them incredibly functional and tasteful. Light also plays an important role in this project: with the help of Marco Pollice, lighting becomes the protagonist, thanks to a careful study and a careful selection of spotlights, recessed fittings and LEDs from iconic brands.
