Pantone Colour of the Year 2025 announced

The Pantone Color of the Year programme engages the design community and colour enthusiasts in a broader discussion about colour itself, emphasising the relationship between colour and culture.
Each year Pantone selects a colour that captures the global spirit of the times: the Colour of the Year accurately expresses the general mood and attitude and reflects the collective desire in one prominent hue.

For the coming year, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a striking, warm and rich shade of brown, nurtures with the suggestion of the delicious quality of cocoa, chocolate and coffee, appealing to our desire to be pampered.
An earthy yet refined brown evokes the feeling of comfort in the home whether it appears on a floor or painted wall, within furniture or in more natural materials such as wood and stone, rattan and wicker, leather and linen.

Underpinned by our desire for everyday pleasures, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence”, says Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute. “Sophisticated and lush, yet an unpretentious classic, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse extends our perception of browns from being humble and grounded to embracing aspiration and luxury. Infused with subtle elegance and earthy sophistication, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse presents a touch of understated, subtle glamour. A savoury shade of brown, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse envelops us with its sensory warmth”.

And to celebrate the 26th anniversary of Pantone Colour of the Year, Pantone will present the new shade at various events and experiences around the world.
From New York to London, Shanghai to Mumbai, Pantone will share public spaces and events centred around the colour to make the Pantone Colour of Year 2025 accessible to all.
