On the northern outskirts of Naples, P&C, excellence in the production of “Made in Italy” leather goods, entrusted the studio B2Carchitetti with the restyling of an old red brick and reinforced concrete factory transformed and mortified by many past interventions. B2Carchietti intervened by subtracting and eliminating the various decorations, bringing to light the original reinforced concrete structure and the red bricks on the façades.
The floors have been replaced by industrial resin and a suspended structure of black frames supports all the equipment useful for the company’s work chain. The intervention starts with the organisation of the entrance, where the black colour of the frames that frame the large entrance windows prevails, and the hall recalls the industrial structure by using grey stoneware floors with a resin effect and cladding that restores the effect of the concrete blocks. The company has reprogrammed its entire know-how in a green style and therefore wanted this intention and this focus on sustainability and the well-being of the company and its employees to be perceived right from the entrance; B2Carchitetti has therefore inserted a banner represented by a bonsai tree to recall the policy of the entire company.
