Natura Mediterranea by Pimar

At the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Pimar presented Natura Mediterranea, a planning path between architecture and design. Thanks to a long tradition in the processing of natural stone, Pimar has contributed, for over 150 years, to enhancing the stone material and thanks to its cutting-edge know-how and prestigious collaborations with the most renowned architects on the international scene, including Steven Holl, Alvaro Siza, Philippe Starck, Luca Scacchetti, is on the market as the ideal partner to support the most demanding architects and designers.

The exhibition design, curated by the duo AposPersano, offers a casket in which to enhance the essence of the natural material, Pimar stone, in its many variations on offer, from architecture to design. At the base walls and columns, archetypes of a timeless material, where history is sedimented and updated in the contemporary world. The concept behind Natura Mediterranea is the narration through stone material of the relationship between man and nature, to reflect on the design of living. Stone, which is natural material even before becoming material, has a strong bond with its Mediterranean soul as an expression and representation of the intense light of the place from which it originates. Immersed in nature with golden reflections, in a dialogue between interior and exterior, Pimar stone, with its soft colours, offers its essence and provides comfortable places to live.

Free of frills, the material offers itself in its essentiality and reconnects us to nature. The new products exhibited at the Salone del Mobile 2022 have pure, geometric shapes, such as the modular and modular lamps; surfaces with minimal signs, striped, split or smooth, polished and silky, become textures for new coverings. Space expands through landscape views in which to immerse oneself and through perspective breakthroughs in which to be reflected. Pimar dedicates a section of its stand calledHomage to the Masters, displaying small houses by the master Riccardo Dalisi, in memory of his long collaboration with the company.
