Narrazioni Intrecciate by Draga & Aurel for Visionnaire

Visionnaire’s Wunderkammer expands with the participation of Draga & Aurel who propose Narrazioni Intrecciate, a game of role exchanges between art and design, where the power of colours and pictorial gestures illuminate the walls, guiding the immersive journey among collectible design objects. Created on the occasion of Milan Design Week 2024, the installation was so successful that it was extended until 30 June!
Draga Obradovic recounts the genesis of the project: “I have worked for a long time as a textile designer in fashion and textiles are my first love: it was natural to imagine bringing Aurel’s works, so powerful and kinetic in force, onto fabric“.
In a special edition, the Aries armchair is upholstered with an unprecedented loom-made fabric that reinterprets Aurel K. Basedow’s paintings. In the Muse screen, Aurel’s painting is composed and decomposed: the layering, dear to the artist in his creative process, is entrusted to a play of printed organdies that in movement seem to reproduce the gesture of painting.

Research is a fundamental aspect of the creative path of Draga & Aurel who, for this project, revisit two of their iconic pieces with new material weaves. The Lego console is re-proposed with a marble top associated with metal to replace the cement used in the previous model, while the Elysium table, an explicit reference to Amos, proposes contrasting geometries and refined textures. To complete the installation, the Tessa partition: a cascade of colours that seem to dissolve amidst intertwining geometries, lights and transparencies.
