Milano Verticale | UNA Esperienze opens

Milano Verticale | UNA Esperienze, the four-star superior hotel, opens to the public as a new point of reference for Milanese hospitality.
The interior and exterior architecture project, designed by Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, aims to go beyond the traditional concept of a “hotel” by creating a space open to the city. The hotel, located between Via De Cristoforis and Via Rosales, is in the Porta Nuova – Garibaldi – Corso Como district, representative of urban development and Milan’s rebirth.

Claudio Saverino and Tiziano Vudafieri have designed a new level of aesthetic and environmental experience to make Milano Verticale a unique and distinctive place. Not just interior architecture, but a reflection on the renewed sense of inhabiting time and space, of sharing social, recreational and work experiences, in a context of great visual and material personality.
The interior reinterprets the tradition of “Milanese-style” design in a contemporary key, citing the elegant modernity of the post-war Milanese masters, present in numerous material details such as the use of polychrome marble and the citation of Lombard stock.

In the hall, reception, lounge and lobby spaces, the story is told through the spectacular marble walls, the ceilings painted in different tones and the large double-height space that acts as an incipit to the internal garden.
Milano Verticale | UNA Esperienze is conceived as an extension of the city itself, an urban device at the service of Milan, with the design of services on the ground floor playing an active role in the dialogue with the city: public functions of the hotel.
The structure has therefore been designed to be completely permeable and extrovert. Signs of this nature of dialogue are the large internal garden, the redesign of the external square and the whole of Via Rosales, which mends the relationship between facades and exteriors, giving continuity to the greenery between public and private space.

The existing building has been completely renovated by Asti Architetti, who designed the architectural design of the facades, in an operation of great value in redeveloping the entire block.
The structure consists of 173 rooms distributed over 12 floors. The rooms are distinguished by the careful choice of materials, which are few and essential: floors in ceramic block and dark oak planks, walls in marmorino subdivided into backgrounds with slight variations in colour, and headboards in ribbed walnut. A special mention must be made of the brass desk/console, made to design, which becomes a constant element of the story, characterising the rooms in a distinctive way.

The jewel in the crown is the 530-square-metre rooftop on the 13th floor, belonging to the 4 Penthouse Suites: 4 exclusive super penthouses with large panoramic terraces and Jacuzzi pools. The Rooftop and Penthouse Suites are fully customisable on the basis of different needs and can be modulated according to use, so much so that they can be combined to form a unique and totally personalised proposal of over 900 square metres.
A location with an unparalleled 360° view of the Milan skyline and the Alpine arc.
