Milano Home is the new annual trade fair dedicated to the world of living and home décor that will make its debut at fieramilano (Rho) from 11 to 14 January 2024.
An event that is taking place at a time of profound rethinking in the relations between those who produce and those who sell: on the one hand, consumer choices and lifestyles are changing, on the other, companies are internalising customer needs and aiming to offer home décor products that are increasingly in line with new consumer values.
The first trade fair of the year, Milano Home will be a platform on which to discover the excellence of the sector, between industrial production and craftsmanship. Ideas, trends and products will stand out for design, research, uniqueness, customisation and, of course, sustainability, within a layout divided into four pavilions – Vibes, Mood, Elements, Taste – each of which – for the different sectors of the exhibition, from fragrances to the art of the table, decoration to concept gifts – will offer visitors special stories and suggestions.
The exhibition layout will host special areas such as Green Circle, a project by bioclimatic architect Isabella Goldman, which will host a selection of products consistent with the criteria of sustainability and circular economy. The space, created as a circular square, will host 60 products, alternative and still little known, selected according to a sustainable approach that respects nature, traditions, materials, territory, people and their emotions. For an entirely new attitude towards everyday objects, under the banner of sustainability and new technologies.
And then the unprecedented Brand Power© project, dedicated to the strategic connection between the promotional world and brands, which includes a specific programme of meetings.
To complete the exhibition offer, Milano Home will include a rich programme of talks.
The Milano Home Retail Academy, the practical, fast and useful training for retailers, will make its debut with a series of workshops and discussion moments.
Polidesign will talk about ‘Widespread residentiality. The role of design in configuring the spaces of the new domesticity” and “Co-retailing in stores and multichannel experiences”: topics linked to the changes brought about by smart-working and teleworking in terms of new business models and the increase in sales in the retail sector recorded in the post-pandemic period.
And then, thanks to the collaboration with Platform Architecture and Design, there will be a rich calendar of meetings dedicated to “The new places of living”, an investigation into the evolution in response to changing social, environmental and technological needs. Platform has selected twelve Italian and international authors for Milano Home to represent the current state of interior architecture applied to living spaces accessible to all.
