Milano 3.0 Next Generation Living

Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia signs the new modern and innovative residential development – Milano 3.0 – characterised by quality architectural standards and numerous services, which will rise in the heart of the naturalistic context of Milano 3.
During the presentation of the “Next Generation Living” project, with representatives from DeA Capital Real Estate SGR, promoter of the initiative with the HighGarden Fund, Orion European Real Estate Fund V, the Fund’s primary investor, and Dils, advisor and business partner, architect Alfonso Femia revealed the elements that make Milano 3.0 unique.
With the technical coordination of Starching, which is also in charge of the integrated design of the initiative, Milano 3.0 envisages the construction of six buildings for residential use, composed of approximately 260 flats of different sizes overlooking the lake or the large surrounding park, and numerous services, including a conciergerie, a locker room, a welcoming multifunctional area with a view of the lake, an indoor and outdoor gymnasium area, a play area for children, a space for aggregative activities, and rooms reserved for the storage of bicycles and pushchairs.

The relationship between the residences and the landscape is the characterising element of the project: from the construction of the large podium, which accommodates an articulated sequence of plants and greenery, seating and resting spaces enriching the development to the diamond-etched and iridescent ceramic cladding of the buildings, a distinctive mark of architect Alfonso Femia; from the loggias and façades to the bay windows and full-height glazing, which allow residents to enjoy the beauty of every season.
This dialogue is also reflected in the choices made in terms of the sustainability of the project, which will be in energy class A4, the highest required by law. Reduced environmental impact will be possible thanks to the use of eco-compatible materials and cutting-edge technologies that permit the use of energy from renewable sources, such as geothermal and solar energy, as well as the construction of recharging stations for electric cars and a pedestrian and bicycle path around the complex.
Also from the point of view of interior design, thanks to the collaboration with Milano Contract District and important partners, the project of Milano 3.0 has been studied to guarantee an exclusive product with great attention to detail.

Balancing the new architecture with the built environment and the natural environment, with the needs and desires of those who will inhabit Milano 3.0 was our goal. The design orientation is not limited to guaranteeing energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, but deepens and resolves the relationship between the domestic everyday life in the intimate dimension of the home and the collective one of common spaces. Very close to Milan, the dimension is quiet and relaxing, and the architecture is grafted as a landscape within the landscape”, architect Alfonso Femia has effectively summarised.
