Matteo Viviani, a TV personality known among other programmes for being a correspondent for the programme Le Iene, chose Kaldewei products to furnish the bathrooms of his new home in Milan. What struck him was the functional design and environmental friendliness of Kaldewei’s enamelled steel products: Viviani wanted to create a model of sustainable and inclusive hospitality for his home and, to do so, he paid meticulous attention to the choice of materials and finishes. ‘My family and I wanted to create a sort of sustainable micro-world that would allow all those who live in or visit it to experience their time in a better way,’ commented Matteo Viviani.
The design of the residence, a top-floor penthouse in the new Milan Mind district, was supervised by architect Aldo Simoncelli, who was able to interpret the vision of Matteo and his family, creating a cosy environment with a futuristic feel, where the design of the chosen products expresses a concept of functionality and comfort. Particular attention has been paid to the issues of sustainability to which the host has always been very sensitive: the products chosen, in fact, stand out for their great ability to last over time and for materials that respect the environment. In the guest bathroom is the floor-level shower tray, created by Berlin designer Werner Aisslinger, SUPERPLAN ZERO, in matt black. Viviani’s wife, Ludmilla Radchenko, chose MIENA basins for her bathroom, created by Anke Salomon, a perfect combination of minimalist design and extraordinary quality, and matched it with the MEISTERSTÜCK OYO DUO freestanding bathtub, Kaldewei’s product hero with its sinuous egg shape, designed by Stefan Diez, in cool grey.
In the bathrooms of the little ones, Eva and Nikita, the MING basins in alpine white and for Matteo’s bathroom, the CONO countertop basin in matt black. All made of recyclable enamelled Kaldewei steel, these products offer not only comfort, but also durability and great strength, under the banner of a modern idea of luxury that meets design, respect for the environment and comfort.
‘I would never have imagined that such a beautiful bathtub could provide the comfort Ludmilla likes to call ‘wonderful’ and at the same time also be easy to keep clean and have such a long life cycle,’ commented Matteo Viviani.
