Tubes takes another step forward in its research path with JJ, a warmth object designed by Ludovica Serafini+Roberto Palomba that blends iconicity and functionality.
Minimalist, elegant and with defined, clean lines, the design of JJ is inspired by the vision of the American artist Donald Judd. The product’s name, on the other hand, directly recalls its shape, which in profile pairs two horizontally superimposed J-shaped elements. The ribbed surface and the final undulation of the horizontal part, designed by Ludovica Serafini+Roberto Palomba, make this warmth object pleasant to the touch and soft and light to the eye.
JJ is characterised by its great versatility: when switched off, it can be used as a shelf for placing and tidying towels or storing small bathroom items. Once switched on, it warms the towels and provides a feeling of well-being after a shower or bath thanks to the pleasure of wrapping oneself in a warm, dry towel. In fact, thanks to its low voltage (24 volts), it can be placed in wet areas or near water, making it easy to access hot towels even inside a walk-in shower or over a bathtub, for a perfect comfort experience. Finally, an open or closed slot, depending on the model, fulfils the role of a towel rail.
In whatever space it is placed, JJ has the capacity to take on great architectural value. In addition to its use in the domestic sphere, JJ plays a central role in enhancing the well-being of guests in sectors such as Hospitality, Wellness and Boating, thanks to its combined function as a shelf and as a source of heating for towels and napkins.
The shelf is available in three sizes and power ratings and in different configurations to meet different needs and uses. In addition to the simplest version, there are models with an open or closed hole, on the right or left side. JJ is also available in a wide variety of colours, in fact it is available in all 140 shades of the Tubes palette, with the exception of glossy and wrinkled.
JJ can be integrated into the system via any control device, including home automation. Temperature adjustment and weekly programming can be conveniently managed via a wireless device or with the new Tubes wi-fi thermostat, allowing you to find your towels always warm, ready to ensure a pleasant pampering at any time of day, even when you wake up. The new wi-fi solution proposed by Tubes can be controlled remotely via an intuitive app integrated with the main voice assistants. The product is easy to install on the wall and the use of recyclable aluminium makes it easy to dispose of at the end of its life.
