Finissage of the exhibition Visions of the Future: Avant-Garde Architectures

Tuesday 28th January 2015 will see the finissage event of the exhibition “Visions of the Future: Avant-Garde Architectures”, organised by Ceramica Sant’Agostino in collaboration with Platform Architecture and Design.
The exhibition – inaugurated on 25th November at the flagship store of Ceramica Sant’Agostino, located in Via Garibaldi 95, Milan – remained open to the public until the end of Milan Drawing Week.
In fact, the exhibition was born as an official collateral event of the event organised by Collezione Ramo, with the aim of celebrating 20th and 21st century Italian drawing through a series of exhibitions held in Milan’s institutions and galleries, and which took place from the 23rd of November to the 1st of December 2024.

In view of the large number of visitors, the exhibition Visions of the Future: Avant-Garde Architecture has been extended until 28th January 2025, when the closing event will take place.
During the finissage, there will also be an auction of the works featured in the exhibition, the proceeds of which will be donated entirely to the Fondazione Città della Speranza (City of Hope Foundation).
Città della Speranza, established in 1994 thanks to the will of Franco Masello, in addition to financing projects vetted by a scientific committee, has created the Città della Speranza Paediatric Research Institute, an institution of excellence at international level for advanced paediatric tumour diagnostics, which hosts over 220 researchers and dozens of research groups.
Ceramica Sant’Agostino, which has supported the Foundation for years, will donate the entire proceeds of the auction to the City of Hope, so that ‘Visions of the Future’ does not remain just a title.

The Founder of Città della Speranza Franco Masello declares “I would like to thank Ceramica Sant’Agostino and Platform architecture and design for this high cultural level exhibition that, thanks to the charity auction, translates into concrete support for Città della Speranza.
For some years now, Ceramica Sant’Agostino, whose orientation towards Social Responsibility is an integral part of its corporate identity, has been working side by side with the Foundation: a collaboration that confirms an important support to our mission: to be close to those in need. This event demonstrates a concrete commitment – not just written on paper – of a company that certifies itself through a sustainability report by offering a significant contribution to the interest of the community, especially to children.
Lastly, as an entrepreneur, I believe that all companies should make an ongoing commitment to invest a part of their economic results in social issues for the benefit of the community that has contributed to the achievement of these same results”.
