Over twenty paintings were found in 2012 in the warehouse of a bankrupt Hollywood screenwriter. The works were allegedly acquired by treasure hunters for one tenth of their market value, and are currently on display for the exhibition Heroes and Monsters: The Thaddeus Mumford, Jr. Venice Collection. But are these works authentic? The investigation is ongoing.
  • Last day of celebrations in the UK for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
