Located in the epicenter of the “Maroncelli and Brera Design District”, the project is the refurbishment of an old art gallery, new location for the modern and contemporary brazilian design brand Etel.
The property, of about 150 square meters, is spread over two levels: the ground floor, with access through two large vintage windows in iron and glass, and a mezzanine floor with a very low internal height.
The venue had to be as neutral and versatile as possible; for this reason the main choice was to create a very pure space, a “white box” totally painted in white, including the resin floors.
The store host at its center an iron staircase to access the upper floor that architects decided to cover with a new organic shape that ideologically represents the trunk of a tree, as the “heart” of the company, and which generates a fully open space around it.
The exhibition space is also characterized by a rigorous lighting system that contrasts and emphasizes the natural gesture that the central shape draws, hosting inside the ladder that connect to the top mezzanine floor, also covered with a white resin as the other floors.
