Elica at Eurocucina 2024: innovation and extraordinary cooking

Elica presents itself at Eurocucina 2024 with an absolutely non-traditional exhibition space, which, starting from the elements that characterise the company, gives life to a totally immersive and sensorial visit path. The exhibition design was supervised by the Calvi Brambilla & Partners studio, whose founders Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla say: “The inspiration for this project emerged from the desire to give form to impalpable elements such as air and heat, masterfully managed by the company”.

The route winds its way through different rooms, each characterised by a colour and a light installation, which mark a clear thematic distinction: each room, in fact, focuses on a specific theme such as cooking, aspiration or hybrid solutions. The entrance to the stand welcomes the visitor with an installation of propellers, a clear metaphor for the company’s roots. Air is the common thread linking each room, with scenic elements inspired precisely to evoke the technologies and management of air flows. The skilful design of the stand creates a value narrative of the company, which is characterised by an extraordinary research and desire for innovation, while maintaining a constant focus on sustainability issues.

Characteristics that can be found in one of the company’s flagship products exhibited at the Salone del Mobile 2024: Lhov. For the first time, a single solution integrates hood, oven and induction hob. Lhov is an invention designed by Fabrizio Crisà, Elica’s Chief Design Officer, which combines authenticity, beauty and functionality. Connoted by a linear aesthetic in black glass, Lhov guarantees high performance, functions inspired by the professional world and a powerful suction system that for the first time removes odours and vapours not only from the hob but also from the oven. When opening the oven, you no longer encounter hot air and vapours, and you also no longer feel the annoying, odour-laden frontal air blade while cooking.
The professional and top-level performance does not come at the expense of size, which on the contrary is kept within the standard dimensions (90×36 cm), so that the product can be perfectly integrated, optimising space and enhancing any kitchen design. Lhov is characterised by a very neat and extremely linear design that clears the top of knobs and handles.

The system is equipped with Long Life Filter++, designed to provide much higher than average odour filtering capacity. The filters can last 3 to 5 years avoiding frequent replacements, reducing waste and simplifying maintenance.

The newly designed oven also features many innovations. Outside, the total black glass door without a handle is a masterpiece of aesthetics and tactile pleasantness: it opens and closes smoothly, with a touch. Inside, the width of the cavity is 30% larger than traditional ovens and allows you to cook whatever you want: Side by Side, placing two pans side by side on the same shelf for complementary preparations or for a double portion; All In, with spacious pans; Little & Many, for cooking small portioned foods in quantity. The traditional cooking mode can be combined with the steam mode and the grill can also be activated in half the cavity, avoiding energy wastage and reducing consumption. The oven can also be activated on the basis of the recipe: simply select the type of dish, dosage and cooking level and Lhov will do everything by itself, including turning it off.
Lhov is a revolutionary solution that well represents Elica’s philosophy and approach, no longer just aimed at kitchen vacuum systems, but developing into a leading company in the global cooking market.
