On 12 October, the press conference for the presentation of the 2021 edition of Madeexpo was held: central in the speeches of the guests was the theme of the restart of the Italian system, which is driven by the construction industry.
In 2021, in fact, Italy aims at a GDP growth of +6% compared to the previous year, thanks also to the construction sector. At European level, in the first months of 2021, production in the supply chain increased by 3.3% in the Eurozone and 3.8% in the European Union, compared to last year (Eurostat estimates). In this context, Milan is preparing to welcome the world of building and construction. In our country, major international property developers are looking with interest above all at the redevelopment of new urban areas. The new challenges consist in intercepting the technological, social, environmental and regulatory trends that are pushing urban agglomerations and the industrial fabric to adapt to the new needs of the community.
MADE expo, the reference exhibition for the design, building and construction sector, which will be held at fieramilano, Rho, from 22 to 25 November 2021, will be an opportunity to recount the moment of important evolution in the world of construction. MADE expo, which for the first time will be organised directly by Fiera Milano, through the company Made Eventi S.r.l., owned by Fiera Milano (60%) and Federlegno Arredo Eventi (40%), aims to express all the potential of the building sector well represented by the leading trade fair in Italy and one of the main ones in Europe, able to give voice to a Building Community represented in Italy by over 700,000 companies and more than 1 million employees.
A network of professionals, designers, construction and production companies, craftsmen, window and door fitters, contractors and buyers who will have the opportunity to visit the more than 300 exhibiting companies in Halls 1-2-3. The exhibition layout will be divided into four large theme areas. Starting with “MADE doors, windows and closures” for door and window fitters, designers, retailers and construction companies. Then there is the “MADE envelope and outdoor” area, dedicated to opaque and transparent roof and façade systems, the glass sector and solar shading. Then there is the entire hardware and software solutions component with the “MADE BIM & technologies” area to explore the new opportunities linked to the use of Building Information Modeling in the design, construction and maintenance processes of works. And finally the “MADE constructions and materials” area, dedicated to innovation in materials, their efficiency, sustainability and safety.
“Fiera Milano is ready to welcome the entire network of the event, offering exhibitors and operators a unique experience capable of amplifying the importance of a professional exhibition,” says Mario Franci, managing director of Made Eventi S.r.l. and Chief Revenue Officer of Fiera Milano S.p.a. “There is a widespread desire to get back together live, touch products, systems and show up close and personal the innovation that we have not been able to show the market in the last year and a half. As always, in addition to the product sectors, MADE expo will offer B2B meetings during which the themes of energy sustainability and innovation in the building and construction sector will be addressed. New business models will also be discussed in terms of design and plant engineering. Moreover, thanks to innovative digital services, exhibitors, buyers and visitors will be able to experience the trade fair both in a physical format and in a digital version“.
In fact, the multi-channel approach available during the visit to the event will keep all the different exhibition players connected through a conscious community that will have access to a new exhibition App, to My Matching – to Webinars & Live Chat, to the Exhibition Blog and to Digital Signage inside the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho. In addition, many of the events and conferences will be streamed on digital channels. “This year’s edition takes on an even more important value, testifying to the desire of the organisers and exhibitors to return to direct contact with all the protagonists of a sector that defining it as transversal is probably an understatement,” says Gianfranco Marinelli, President of Made Eventi S.r.l. and President of Federlegno Arredo Eventi S.p.a. “The building industry – and we are certainly not discovering this today – is a very important economic driver: when the brick starts moving, industry and the economy start moving. And it is precisely with this in mind that I believe it is necessary to take action as the supply chains involved so that tax incentives are renewed in the next Budget law, starting with the facade bonus, seismic bonus, ecobonus, renovation and furniture so that the driving force that construction can give to the country’s economy is not interrupted”.
MADE expo will also offer a schedule of more than 100 events, which will provide training credits. They will be divided into four major appointments (ArchInTrend, Forum Legno Edilizia, The place to build and SerramenTalk) that will offer the opportunity to elaborate and transmit ideas and trends emerging from the reference sectors. All current topics will be given ample space during the training courses scheduled during the event.
