Nestled in the Val di Sole, in the Trentino Alps, the Chalet al Foss Alp Resort is a five-star hotel that guarantees maximum comfort and relaxation for its guests. In this context, Myrtha Pools was initially asked to create a twin pool to the existing one on the hotel terrace. Thanks to its expertise and innovative technologies, the company tackled the critical issues that such a project poses and succeeded in adding value in terms of quality, design and experience for the hotel guests.
The ideal solution was to create a single pool in order to offer a complete restyling of the hotel terrace and more comfort to guests. By integrating the lightness of the Myrtha steel panels with transparent methacrylate walls and an overflow edge cascading over the valley, an impressive view of the surrounding nature was created. In this installation, the transparencies of the walls continue also at the bottom of the pool, where two large windows give the pleasant sensation of floating suspended between the mountains and the sky.
Elegant black stone finishes, a staircase to facilitate access to the water and a lighting system enrich the pool’s accessories for a fascinating result that accentuates the play of contrasts created by the combination of the stone with the light entering through the transparent walls. During the night, on the other hand, the pool benefits from a special cover that prevents the dispersion of heat in the coldest hours. The project created for the Chalet at the Foss Alp Resort fully represents Myrtha’s potential for the hospitality sector. Myrtha’s consultancy and technologies, combined with high quality finishes, made it possible to transform the terrace of this splendid accommodation facility with the creation of a suspended pool with a cascading infinity edge that has already become iconic.
