In the fifteen fully occupied pavilions of the Bologna Exhibition Centre – covering a total area of 145,000 square metres – 633 companies exhibited, of which 354 from the ceramic tile sector, 96 from the bathroom furnishing sector, 183 from the laying, raw materials, new surfaces, and service sectors. An exhibition with a strong international connotation, confirmed by the 245 foreign exhibitors – 39% of the total – and the 27 countries represented. 811 journalists attended, 396 of them from abroad.
The President of Confindustria Ceramica, Giovanni Savorani, comments on the results of Cersaie 2023: “Although the market situation is not the best, the great attractiveness of Cersaie has allowed exhibiting companies to make the most of the investments made, confirming its national and international importance among distributors, architects, installers and real estate operators. Italian ceramics continue to be appreciated on international markets thanks to their intrinsic characteristics such as healthiness, hygiene, durability and sustainability. The ‘Route 40’ exhibition itinerary recounted the main product innovations that have contributed to making Italian ceramics and bathroom furnishings flagships of Made in Italy around the world. The energy transition that we have initiated must not be thwarted by the perverse ETS mechanism, which requires urgent action at the European level, as we were able to represent to the various politicians and institutions who came to visit us at the exhibition“.
Emilio Mussini, Vice President of Confindustria Ceramica at the head of Promotional Activities and Exhibitions, summarized the extensive program of events that characterized this edition of Cersaie as follows. “There were more than 2,000 participants in the five meetings of the ‘building, living, thinking’ program; 18 Press Cafés held both in presence and live streaming during the five days of the fair; great was the interest and influx registered at the City of Laying. More than 250 operators from Europe, North America and the Gulf area made up the Cersaie Business delegation, made possible thanks to the valuable collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ICE Agency.”
Cersaie therefore honors its history by presenting itself as the most important international event for those involved in surface design, ceramic and other materials, and bathroom furnishings.
The next edition of Cersaie will be held in Bologna, September 23-27, 2024.
