Casa Bottega and its interiors

Walking through the historic districts of Valletta surrounded by the picturesque colors of the city of Malta you can meet Casa Bottega. A versatile residence-studio by architect Chris Briffa. The style adopted sees an enhancement of the traditional style with a strong modern influence in step with the new lifestyle needs. The project is characterized by a synergistic oxymoron of stylistic languages: on the one hand, the enhancement of materials and interiors of the original structure, where the offices of Chris Briffa Architects have been placed and on the other hand, as if to mark a clear separation between professional and private life, the extension of the structure through the creation of a modern Penthouse on the roof of the historic building.

For the faucets of bathrooms and wellness areas of this unique project, the architect chose the design and quality of Fima Carlo Frattini products in perfect harmony with the classic concept is enhanced by the distinctive cross knobs that give a modern accent. The bathroom on the first level of the Penthouse, inspired by the portico of St John’s Co-Cathedral, is enhanced by the Maxima three-hole wall-mounted mixer, while the master bathroom, decorated with Venetian terrace-effect wall coverings, features the Maxima three-hole wall-mounted mixer in a double washbasin and the wall-mounted shower column chosen from the Wellness line by Fima Carlo Frattini. The latter is a solution with a simple and linear design with adjustable shower head and pull-out hand shower for which, in a game of references, returns the geometric design of the knobs of the Maxima collection.

Available in modern matt white and matt black finishes, Maxima creates a minimal and harmonious environment in line with the atmosphere of modern elegance that is breathed in the project. Once again Fima Carlo Frattini proves to be an attentive and reliable partner, capable of satisfying any need in the contract world, bringing the 100% Made in Italy quality abroad. Functionality and avant-garde projects have made this important architectural renovation receive the BIG SEE INTERIOR DESIGN AWARD 2021.
