On Via dei Calzaiuoli in Florence, in the heart of the city’s shopping district, the new Graziella Braccialini shop has opened. The maison was born from the union between the art of leather goods of the Florentine company Braccialini and the high jewellery of Arezzo-based Graziella Holding. The interior design project was carried out by Architect Emanuele Svetti, who has long been responsible for the concept of Graziella Braccialini projects around the world.
The Florence space is distributed on two floors for a total of 200 square metres, with a large window overlooking the street.
The mood is playful, cheerful, childlike and aims to bring the customer into contact with his most childlike “I”.
Going up to the first floor, in fact, one is struck by the presence of a display element made up of overlapping playing dice, which immerses the customer in a fairy-tale experience, which continues on entering the adjoining room, where a chessboard is moulded on the vault, letting pieces fall from the vault itself.
A giant spinning top stands at the centre of the “Temi di Braccialini” room: in this sort of magic box, the space has been made multidimensional by using mirrored surfaces placed one on top of the other.
White, the true protagonist of the spaces, results in the celebration of Braccialini’s handcrafted products – which live by their own colour – which find a sort of fourth dimension within the spaces created by Studio Svetti.
The Florentine shop thus becomes the umpteenth proof that for Emanuele Svetti it is not the shop that attracts attention, but what is displayed inside.
