PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING carried out the lighting design for the headquarters of ABI BV, an industrial equipment supplier in the Netherlands, in collaboration with lighting designer Valstar Simonis and electrical installer Schulte & Lestraden.
In recent years, ABI BV has experienced flourishing growth, which is why the previous premises had become too cramped. The new premises can accommodate the growing number of employees and there is more than enough space for production and product storage. The production of robotic lines, which was previously housed in another building, has also been integrated into the new building.
In the design of this new headquarters, LED lighting was used throughout the building, for the offices, production areas and outdoor area, ensuring excellent results in terms of both sustainability and energy savings. FL SQUARE 600, DL ROUND and DL SQUARE ceiling recessed luminaires were chosen for the office lighting, all dimmable using the DALI protocol to ensure optimum visual comfort for people and greater productivity and concentration in the workplace by being able to adjust the light in accordance with the natural human biorhythm. A unique combination of SL764+ suspended linear lighting and DL ROUND recessed luminaires was used in the company restaurant.
KYRO+ 1, GUELL and MIMIK POST were chosen to illuminate the outdoor area, while LAMA+ spotlights, which received an IF Design Award, were used in the production areas.
