Ma.Po, architecture and design studio, directed by the Roman architects Silvia Manzari and Gabriele Pomobello, followed the Interior Design project of the Kaos & co. showroom in Rome.
The project is characterised by clean lines and strongly geometric elements, which are rendered by the terrazzo floor in a continuous grey surface with ebony black Carrara marble inlay. Large arches with combinations of different colours and materials evoke metaphysical atmospheres freely taken from some of De Chirico’s works.
The fabrics, which cut into the gritstone casting, create monochromatic and enveloping corners where the garments displayed in the showroom become the protagonists of the spaces.
The material chosen for the floors belongs to the Sib Italia brand product range, distributed by Concrete Solution Italia, which, drawing on Italian construction techniques and acquiring potential from contemporary technologies, achieves maximum flexibility without losing sight of refinement.
Founder and CEO of Concrete Solution Italia, Matteo Mozzarelli, explains: “Telling the story of Sib, one of our most innovative brands, is our challenge. The company was founded in 2014 with the aim of bringing novelties and technologies to Italy in the world of continuous surfaces.”
The Sib brand already boasts important references, and has in fact created floors for the MAAT Museum in Lisbon, for one of the Christian Dior Showrooms in Paris, for Spazi Fiera and a School in Orebro in Sweden.
