A new point of view on Venice

Sanlorenzo arrives in Venice as the main sponsor of the Italian Pavilion at the 2022 Art Biennale. In parallel with its commitment to supporting the Italian spirit and Made in Italy in this international context, Sanlorenzo is presenting, as part of the Biennale’s collateral events, an installation by Piero Lissoni entitled ARENA, created in the splendid setting of the ACP – Palazzo Franchetti.

ARENA consists of a metal platform with a geometric shape, like a telescope, overlooking the Grand Canal from the garden of ACP – Palazzo Franchetti and clearly visible from the Ponte dell’Accademia. The entire floor dialogues with the animated and inanimate elements that surround it, while a game of steps moves the flows on the platform and transforms it into a convivial place that relates to the context.

The idea behind the project is the desire to provide a new point of view of the city of Venice for visitors to experience throughout the seven months of the Biennale. ARENA will also become a place for meeting and intellectual exchange, hosting meetings with leading figures in the world of culture, art and design.

After having consolidated, over the years, the link with art through collaborations with some of the main players on the international scene, and with the creation of Sanlorenzo Arts as a true producer of culture and design, Sanlorenzo returns to Venice as a protagonist in the most important event linked to the art world at a global level.
