The exhibition of NO CURVES – Geometric Movement promoted by the Regional Council of Lombardy and in collaboration with IED Alumni, collects at the Events Space of Palazzo Pirelli 15 years of tape art and urban art of the Lombard artist. On display are the most significant works of NO CURVES, coming from foundations, museums, private collectors and prestigious collaborations with Lombard and international entrepreneurs. The exhibition recounts the evolution of the artist’s work starting from his first urban art posters up to his mural works and partnerships with the world of design and fashion.
The artist’s hands and his body in perpetual movement are a sort of invisible movement that translates into material and solid form his geometric ideas, hence the title GEOMETRIC MOVEMENT. A life dedicated to “tape art“, of which he is one of the very first founders, and to his unique and geometric style defined by the total absence of curves, earned him the title of “philosopher of adhesive tape”.
The works of NO CURVES are a composition of straight lines drawn with tape in which the artist creates a vision of bodies and ideas that are translated into reality. Abstract and real compositions amalgamate into a complex set of infinite dots that create individual frames of reality that characterize the artistic production over fifteen years of NO CURVES. The exhibition will be open to the public from January 19 to February 16, 2022 by appointment at the Event Space of Palazzo Pirelli in Milan.
